How pickup works

  1. Add your flight number to the booking, and we follow the flight into SMF.

  2. Before pickup, a text gives you your chauffeur's name, number and vehicle.

  3. Pick your meeting point when you book: the arrivals curb, or baggage claim with your name on a sign.

  4. From the moment the plane lands, you have 45 minutes of free waiting.

Pickup at SMF Terminal A and Terminal B

Sacramento International has 2 terminals for airline passengers, Terminal A and Terminal B, in separate buildings. Your flight number tells us which one to meet.

The meeting works the same way at both. Cars may not wait at SMF's terminal curbs, so for a curbside pickup your chauffeur waits close by and drives to the arrivals curb as soon as you call or text with your bags.

With meet-and-greet, your chauffeur is inside at baggage claim, on the ground level, with a sign bearing your name, and takes your bags from there to the car. It has a fee that varies, shown in your quote before you confirm.

Arriving at SMF from abroad

After an international flight, a meet-and-greet chauffeur waits with the name sign where passengers come out of customs. Your 45 free minutes still begin when the plane touches down, not when you clear passport control.

When your flight runs late

Flights into SMF change on the day. With your flight number in the booking, we follow the new arrival time, and the free waiting starts when you actually land.

If the flight is diverted or cancelled, our Terms explain what happens to the pickup.

First and last flights

We drive 24/7, so the first flight of the morning or a landing near midnight is booked like any other. Online booking never closes, and the phone line runs from 7am to 9pm.

Meeting a visitor at SMF

Collecting a guest rather than yourself? Put the traveler's mobile number in the booking. The text with the chauffeur's name, number and car goes straight to them, while the receipt is emailed to you.

Companies that meet visitors often can open a corporate account by phone or email.

Flying out of SMF

Leaving from Sacramento? We drive you to SMF for your flight, from a Sacramento-area address or from the Bay Area. You choose the pickup time when you book, and your chauffeur unloads your bags at your airline's terminal. Our long-distance page covers the other trips we make beyond the Bay Area.

On the way to the Bay Area

This is a longer airport ride, and the car is ready for it: bottled water, phone chargers and Wi-Fi in every class, behind tinted privacy windows. Your chauffeur wears a black suit and tie and has passed background, drug and DMV checks before training on our service standards.

SMF questions

Do you pick up at both SMF terminals?

Yes. Terminal A and Terminal B are separate buildings, and we meet flights at either, curbside or at baggage claim.

Can you drive me from SMF to San Francisco?

Yes. To any address in the city, with tolls and the 15% gratuity counted in the quote.

Is there free waiting at SMF?

Yes, 45 minutes from the moment your plane lands. Waiting past that is charged as our Terms explain.

Can you take me from SMF to SFO or Oakland for another flight?

Yes. We drive between airports, so a connection from SMF to SFO or Oakland is booked like any other ride.

How far ahead should I book an SMF pickup?

Online, at least 2 hours ahead, at any hour of the day. For a pickup sooner than that, call (415) 881-6199 and we will see whether a car is free.
